Having moved to India for work from UK, I recently purchased a Galaxy Note. Being a heavy user of spotify i was expecting to do the same, until my phone instantly chose the indian marketplace by default.

I was hoping that using my UK bank account for my transactions would change the default country but no luck. Any ideas guys? (and gals)

Not something I've done myself but perhaps try this.

Download the Market Enabler app. Google Code Link | Android Market Online Link

Look up your 6 digit network code and enter it in the custom field of Market Enabler.

Be sure to reply back with whether that helps or not and Good Luck!

I've used market enabler before and it works great! I'd give that a shot.

Thanks! Ill definitely give market enabler a shot. I noticed rooting is a requirement, I hope this doesn't effect my ability to upgrade to ICS later. As a temporary fix i downloaded the .apk for spotify from outside the app market, however i still want an official download so that updates keep coming through!

Typically the updates just break root, so if keeping it isn't a major concern then no harm done I'd think.
