I've rooted 4 phones so far: 2 EVOs, 1 Samsung Galaxy Prevail, 1 EVO Shift. It's nice to have control over the phone.
HTC EVO 4G• 4Kornerz ROM
Toshiba Thrive• Stock ROM
HTC EVO Shift 4G • Synergy ROM
B&N Nook Color • Mirage Kang 7.2 ROM
Samsung Galaxy Prevail • Nemesis 1.3 ROM
LG 500G • Stock (backup phone)

hey yall, I'm a complete newbie when it comes to rooting..I was way too scared to try when I was still on the first Moto Droid, but it looks like everythings easier these days. However, before I even attempt to root my HTC Thunderbolt there's a few questions I need answered.

- is it worth the risk?? (I really, really want improved battery life)

- if I download a 1-click app on my nonrooted phone, will it work in reverse to un-root it later if I so choose?

- what is currently the best mod, when it comes to ease of use, functionality, and ease of updating??

thanks for any and all suggestions!
